Garretts open 2026 with pair of Top-10 finishes with Southern All Stars
Kicking off the 2026 race season in the Peach State, Garrett Smith was one of 32 Super Late Model drivers at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.) on Friday night for the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series season opener.
Smith started sixth in the $10,000-to-win feature and moved into the Top-3 where he would eventually finish in second. He trailed Brandon Overton while Casey Roberts completed the podium. In Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale, Garrett started ninth in the 50-lapper and ran seventh.
