Garrett Smith treks to Georgia for Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Speedweeks
After cold weather pushed back the opener to Friday evening, Garrett Smith checked into Golden Isles Speedway (Waynesville, Ga.) with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the Super Bowl of Racing.
Garrett qualified ninth-fastest in his group and finished sixth in his heat race before just missing out on the $12,000-to-win main event after he finished fourth in his B-Main.
Inclement weather and an unfavorable forecast forced track and series officials to cancel the final two rounds of the Super Bowl of Racing on Saturday and Sunday.
