Wild West Shootout brings Garrett Smith Performance to Vado Speedway Park
Garrett Smith opened up his 2025 season out West for the 19th-annual Wild West Shootout at Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park on Saturday and Sunday.
With 47 Late Models signed in for night one, Smith qualified ninth-fastest and finished third in his heat race but fell back in the $25,000-to-win opener to a 21st-place finish. On Sunday evening, Garrett started 22nd and finished 20th in the $10,000-to-win feature.
With a heavy winter storm bringing unfavorable conditions, Smith and his team packed up early and did not stay for the second weekend.
