Garrett Smith heads to Cedar Lake Speedway for USA Nationals with World of Outlaws

Following the World of Outlaw Case Late Model Series further North after the Prairie Dirt Classic, Garrett Smith checked into Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Thursday afternoon for the first night of the USA Nationals.

With World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series officials pushing Thursday's program to Friday afternoon due to wet track conditions, Smith began his weekend with an 11th-place outing in the first $6,000-to-win preliminary feature before finishing eighth in Friday evening's prelim.

Locked into Saturday's $50,000-to-win main event, Smith started on the fifth-row and faded to finish outside the Top-20 in 22nd.
