Garrett Smith competes in Dixie Shootout at Dixie Speedway
Garrett Smith was one of 33 Super Late Models at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon for the co-sanctioned Dixie Shootout with the Southern All Stars and Southern National Series.
Smith started sixth in the 53-lap, $10,053-to-win feature event and charged to the front and battled with Donald McIntosh for the lead. Garrett made contact with the leader down the backstretch and was unfortunately caught up in a wreck. Smith recorded a 13th-place outing.
