Garrett Smith wraps up 2025 Spring Nationals championship at Sugar Creek; grabs 602 Late Model victory

Over Memorial Day weekend, Garrett Smith joined the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals at Sugar Creek Raceway (Blue Ridge, Ga.) on Friday afternoon for the final three nights of racing for the series.

Locking himself into the $8,553-to-win feature from qualifying, Smith started ninth in the 40-lap main event and drove forward to a fourth-place finish inside the Top-5.

Smith also competed in the 602 Late Model class on Friday night where he led flag-to-flag in the 20-lap feature to take home the checkered flag.

Saturday's event at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Ga.) and Sunday's race at Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) were rained out. With the cancellations, Garrett inherited the 2025 Schaeffer's Oil Spring National Championship and took home the $10,053 paycheck.
